Help tell a veteran they are finally home!

Each year, Adopt-A-Block, Inc. gives a newly renovated Baltimore rowhome to a deserving military veteran who has never owned a home.

 This life-changing gift provides more than housing—it offers stability, dignity, and the opportunity for a veteran to finally plant roots and call a place home.

Through the support of local businesses, contractors, city government, community partners, and Compassion Commission youth, Adopt-A-Block works to fully renovate the home and strengthen the surrounding neighborhood.

During the first week of July, Compassion Commission brings youth from across the nation to Baltimore to help complete the final touches on the veteran’s home while also serving through multiple outreach and community improvement projects across the city.

In 2026, we will complete our 24th house and give it away on July 4, 2026 in Baltimore. Come join us at the 2600 block of Beryl Street, Baltimore, MD at 1:30pm for the home giveaway and to congratulate the veteran.
